The past couple of months I have been lacking in motivation and in need of a new focus. A new vision to put things into perspective. Everything from loan payments down to the typical holiday stress that is continually piled on top of my shoulders. Sometimes I wounder how long I will be able to stand before I fall down, but you know what they say, once you fall you just dust yourself off and get right back up.

My father has this saying for when we trip, "Did you have a nice trip?... See you next fall...." When you are little you just shrug it of and roll your eyes, "oh Dad!," but it makes me wonder sometimes if he has it right? Most of the times the stress we carry can get too heavy that it becomes easy to completely shut down. When we do, it takes some time for us to get up and move along.

For me it has been a little difficult to move along. Once of the most influential figures in my life past away this past August. I am hit by the loss in waves of emotion that tend to reveal itself at random times. Each time making the loss a reality I am forced to face whether I want to or not.

Grief is handled by a variety of different ways. I handle it differently every time and cannot give any solid advice other then to take it one day at a time.

I find myself preaching to the choir, this is not new information. It is just a new way of shaping the constant advice given about the subject. I cannot tell you how many times I have been given this advice. But, they have a point with out hope what can we hope to accomplish if we have no desire to go further then before.

Right now I am trying to reach a certain career goals; I keep getting bombarded with road blocks that make me doubt not only my skills but myself. In this New Year I am making the promise to get a move on.
